StoryShift.uk is operated by Nordbridge Media OU, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 16849273). Our registered address is Maakri 19/1, 12th Floor, 10145 Tallinn, Estonia. No external shareholders or outside investors influence our editorial coverage. Ownership and control rest solely with Nordbridge Media OU, which maintains no editorial ties to any political party, commercial interest, or advocacy group. The company’s sole purpose is to operate StoryShift.uk as an independent English-language editorial platform serving readers in the United Kingdom.
Funding model
StoryShift.uk is funded through a combination of advertising revenue, commercial partnerships, and clearly labelled sponsored content. We do not operate a paywall, nor do we accept donations or subscriptions from readers. All income is derived from transparent, arms-length commercial arrangements that have no bearing on our editorial decisions.
- Advertising – display and programmatic advertising appears on our site. Advertisers have no say in what we publish or how we present news and analysis.
- Commercial partnerships – we may enter into agreements with organisations that share our audience interests, such as events or research collaborations. These partnerships are disclosed and never influence editorial priorities.
- Sponsored content – any material produced in collaboration with a commercial partner is explicitly labelled “Sponsored” or “Partner Content”. Sponsors do not exercise editorial control, and all sponsored items are reviewed by editorial staff to ensure compliance with our standards.
For full details of our editorial independence guarantees, see our Editorial Policy.
Editorial independence
Our editorial independence is non-negotiable. No advertiser, partner, sponsor, or external organisation can influence our news judgement, story selection, or reporting. All editorial content – including news, analysis, opinion, and features – is produced independently by our team. Commercial partners are only involved when content is clearly marked as sponsored, and even then the editorial team retains final approval. Our Sources & Standards page outlines the verification and sourcing principles that underpin every article.
Governance
Maarika Tamm serves as Editor-in-Chief and Responsible Publisher for the UK market. She holds overall editorial responsibility for publication decisions, editorial policy, source review, corrections, ethical guidelines, transparency routines, and quality assurance. She can be contacted at maarika.tamm@storyshift.uk or via the UK editorial line +44 20 4583 7711. Transparency commitments
We believe readers are entitled to know who owns and funds the journalism they consume. To that end:
- Every page on StoryShift.uk carries an imprint with our registered company name, address, and editorial contact details.
- Our Contact page provides direct routes for corrections, complaints, and legal or compliance enquiries.
- All sponsored or commercial content is clearly labelled.
- We publish a full Corrections Policy, a Fact-Checking Policy, and a Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (see Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy).
- The Sources & Standards page explains how we verify information and handle sensitive content.
